Task Two: Set a plan

Set a Plan
  1. How will you reach them?
  2. What you might say?
  3. Why you are saying it?
  4. What you expect them to reply with?
  5. Set a time plan on doing this.
1. I could reach Wes Anderson by email or letter. I checked to see if he had a twitter but unfortunately he didn't have one. I will search around and check for a valid address.

2. What I might say:

Hello, I am a Graphic Design student at Leeds College of Art and I adore your films. Just wanted some advice on how you got to where you are and what kind of people do you employ to work with you?

3. I'm genuinely just interested to find out how he got to where he is today, and any advice he has to give.

4. Well, hopefully I get a decent reply although I'm unsure .

5. A week or so?

Task 1: Someone I admire

As part of our Personal Professional Practice, our first task was produce a plan on how we might make contact with someone we admire. I have chosen film and art director, Wes Anderson.

Wes Anderson

The main reason why I admire Wes Anderson is purely because I love his films, I think they are works of art in themselves. Here are a list of films he has directed:

  • Rushmore
  • Bottle Rocket
  • The Life Aquatic (with Steve Zissou)
  • The Darjeeling Limited
  • The Royal Tenenbaums
  • Fantastic Mr Fox
  • Moonrise Kingdom
  • The Grand Budapest Hotel (http://www.grandbudapesthotel.com/)
I adore Anderson's quirky style so much, always in his films... a fantastic cast, incredible characters, quirky story, offbeat humour, and visually beautiful. The quality off the films are nostalgic, with attention to symmetry and gorgeous saturated colours.

How I would contact him? Through email, twitter or letter.
